Enjoy Heathcote’s best kept secret when you visit the cellar door at Munari Wines situated just 7 minutes north of Heathcote and 90 minutes from Melbourne. Step back in time and immerse yourself in the history of the property and the newly renovated Cellar Door which was originally the stables for the property and is situated alongside the original homestead, built in the 1860’s. When you enter the Cellar Door there is a nostalgia that makes you feel right at home. Explore the curiosities and historic wine cellar as you taste through the full wine range (time permitting). When you visit Munari Wines you will understand why the ‘Friends of Munari’ make this their destination venue every time they visit Heathcote.
We boast a a full range of wines including Prosecco, Vermentino, Garganega, Cabernet and red blends & Dessert wines as well as the world famous ‘Heathcote Shiraz’. You’ll have the opportunity to taste the 95-point rated flagship ‘Ladys Pass’ Shiraz and Gun Picker Shiaz/Cabernet as well as understand how our wines demonstrate ‘terroir in full flight’ as acclaimed Wine Writer Campbell Mattinson once said.
Price: The price to taste six of our table wines is $10 or $15 for a tasting of eight wines. If you’d like to taste the full range (12 wines) it will cost $20. For this price you will enjoy a lovely seated tasting, expert advice and good service.
Charcuterie Boards, Pizza & Coffee
You can now enjoy a light lunch or a cheese platter to accompany your tasting. We offer small and large charcuterie boards with Italian deli meats, cheeses and a variety of local olives, onion jam and other condiments served with crusty bread. A charcuterie board for 2 costs $45 and for 4 people it's $60. Bookings aren’t required but mid-week i't’s nice to get a heads up. Pizzas are also available 7 days a week. Choose from our Naked Italian, Pesto Italiano, Simple Italian or Salty Italian options. Gluten free available too. The kitchen is open until 3.30pm each day.
Espresso coffee & Tea are also available to finish off your tasting experience, or simply visit us from 11am any day of the week to enjoy one. You may also like to purchase a glass or bottle of wine and enjoy it by the heater or on the lawns surrounded by lush vines. We have picnic tables and umbrellas and are child and dog friendly.
We accept group bookings and we have plenty of space for coach parking. Please pre-book all group bookings. Unfortunately we can not accept Hens or Bucks parties and no alcohol from off site is to be consumed on the property.

We are now part of four Heathcote cellar doors associated with the Heathcote Women in Wine collaboration who are very closely located and have been working together (and having fun in the process) to help you make the most of your day trip or over-night stay in Heathcote. These five cellar doors show Heathcote’s diversity from the recognised and celebrated highly awarded Shiraz to the plethora of new wave Italian, French and Spanish varietals gaining a lot of attention among wine judges.
You can easily visit four wineries (and in any order) in the one day as the wineries that are furthest away from each other are still only a 10min drive but please note that our fifth winery, Armstead Estate is only open on the first weekend of each month and you will need to allow an additional 15 minutes travel time between appointments when you visit them. We have scheduled our booking times to allow plenty of time for travel, tastings, wine purchases and sanitizing to provide a stress free and enjoyable experience.
